Quality and Safety
Delmar's experienced anchor-handlingpersonnel mooringhandlers are personnel—mooring analysts, engineers, superintendents and master anchor handlers—are unmatched for operating safely and efficiently in the world's most challenging offshore environment.
Proven Tools and Equipment
Delmar recognizes the importance of top quality equipment for critical mooring operations. Delmar has developed new tools to perform demanding tasks, such as a patented subsea connector, chain chaser stopper, deepwater enhanced J-chaserlife from, ball bearing swivels, improved connecting link designs, and wire spooling units.
Additionally, Delmar tools are inspected and prepped before each job. Digital photographs record each job and a computerized inventory control system tracks each component throughout service life—from time of purchase to retirement from service. The end result is proven components that provide a longer service life and less risk of failure.
Effective and Practical Engineering
Delmar has assembled an experienced technical team of engineers, mooring consultants, design personnel and technical draftsmen to provide the most cost-effective solutions to mooring projects. Delmar uses a variety of hydrodynamic, structural, mooring, solid modeling, and other proprietary software packages to provide technical services to our clients.
Technical Innovation/Research & Development
Delmar is continuously developing innovative, cost-effective solutions for client mooring needs. Delmar's patented proprietary subsea connector allows for mooring line connect and disconnect at any time from a single anchor handling vessel (AHV). Due to Delmar's pioneering work, extension wires continue to be the most economical means of increasing the mooring depth capability of most rigs. Delmar's use of anchor handling vessels for pipeline towing is an attractive alternative to heavy-lift vessels and derrick barges. Delmar's deepwater intervention work with winches is a popular means of deepwater component installation. Delmar is an industry leader in the research and development of alternative mooring technologies, including:
Detailed Job Planning and Reporting
Delmar personnel apply their extensive knowledge of mooring early in projects, reviewing the requirements of each job and preparing an extensive job procedure report with step-by-step details of how the work is to be accomplished.
Whenever possible, the personnel who plan the work perform the work offshore. All activity is tracked daily and reported to the clients.
Once the job is completed, a comprehensive report is developed and submitted to the client. This detailed process allows all parties involved to evaluate performance and ensure that improvements are made in future operations.
