Shell contracted Delmar to undertake a series of studies to assess their ability to install a capping stack under each of their TLPs in the Gulf of Mexico. For each well, Delmar determined the optimal positions of critical pieces of equipment that would be required for the pull in of the applicable capping stack via HCLS. Clearances between response equipment and existing structures were determined and documented for each of the wells. 3D models were created for the small clearance activities to visualize and determine relative spacing between the various structures in the water column.• HCLS pull in under a floating facility
